“Katy is a wonderful midwife! She attended my water birth. She was very profession. She was very calm. When I was in transition, she kept affirming me by saying, "Rui, you can do it!" I kept repeating what she said to me and that helped a lot.
Then during pushing, she noticed I needed some support on my lower back, she was supporting my lower back with her hands the WHOLE TIME! That made my birth so much easier since I was on my hands and knees in water.
She was very good at what she does and she loves what she does. You know it when she's with you. She pours her whole heart and being on you. I would say when you have her as your midwife, you are in very good hands and she'll be with you every step of the way.”

“I gave birth to my beautiful daughter in February 2020 with the help of Katy. I had no idea how incredibly helpful she would end up being. My birth was FAST and I couldn't even catch my breath to work on any of the techniques I had researched and practiced beforehand. She was so calm and was somehow able to have me focus on a breathing method (I think we imagined a balloon!? I was delirious lol). She also supported my birth plan and made sure I gave birth in the tub, even though I didn't think I could move back in. I'm so glad she encouraged me to follow through with my plan.
